Our programs are designed to enable you to speak Spanish as rapidly as possible. You'll have the opportunity to choose from small classes, individual instruction, or a combination of both. At some schools, specialized programs are available for doctors, nurses, lawyers, businesspeople, MBA's, etc.
Teaching techniques focus on the communicative approach to learning Spanish. From day one you'll begin working on improving your conversational skills. The process for novices begins by covering basics such as who you are, where you live, etc. As you become more proficient, topics may range from economics to politics. As you explore new topics, you'll learn new vocabulary and grammar and how to effectively use them.
We now offer immersion programs in 11 countries: Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, and Spain. Academic credit is available at any one of the programs offered through Spanish Abroad.
